Man found dead in New Montrose

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was discovered in a drain at Walker Piece, New Montrose with a gunshot wound.{{more}}

According to a police press release, Enoch George, 22, unemployed, of Rockies, sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his head between December 5 and 6, 2014.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on the body to ascertain the actual cause of death.

George’s murder brings to 36, the number of murders committed here for the year. There have been 43 homicides so far in 2014.(KW)
