Nichols, whose trial was set down for hearing yesterday at the Kingstown Magistrateâs Court, changed his not guilty plea when he appeared before magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias.
As a result of pleading guilty, the magistrate said Nichols had already served a week on remand and ordered his removal from the country.
Between May 29 and June 18, 2014 at Barrouallie, Nichols, being a prohibited immigrant, entered the state without a passport.
He was also charged with disembarking a boat in Barrouallie without the consent of immigration officials between May 29 and June 18, 2014.(KW)
