65 cases at the Criminal Assizes
Sixty-five matters are down for trial at this monthâs sitting of the Criminal Assizes.{{more}}
The assizes officially opened on February 4, at the High Court in Kingstown.
Of that figure, the prosecution will attempt to tackle 26 murder cases that are listed for trial.
The crownâs team is being led by Director of Public Prosecution Colin Williams, and also includes Assistant Director of Public Prosecution Colin John, crown counsels Carl Williams, Sejilla McDowall and Karim Nelson.
Justice Frederick Bruce-Lyle is the presiding Judge.
