Salesman pleads not guilty to possession of firearm

Cannie Ballantyne, a 32-year-old salesman of Glen, was granted $15,000 bail on Monday, after he pleaded not guilty to possession of a nine millimetre revolver.{{more}}

He appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court before magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias, after police charged that he was found with the revolver in his possession on December 29, at Freeland, Mesopotamia.

Ballantyne was ordered to surrender his travel documents and report to the Calliaqua Police Station once per week.

The matter was adjourned to January 6, 2014 and was transferred to the Serious Offences Court.(KW)
