In a case that was heard before High Court Judge Wesley James, Williams was, on October 24, found guilty of the charge of murder.

This is the second time Williams has been convicted of murder. He was sentenced to death in 1995 for the murder of his girlfriend Caroline Moses and her two children in an incident at Evesham on November 16, 1994. Williams was placed on death row. However, the Privy Council quashed his conviction for murder and sentence of death and substituted manslaughter and 10 years imprisonment.

Ryan, who was a well known elder in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, was found dead in his bed on March 14, 2008. At the time of Ryan’s death, Williams had been living with Ryan for about six months and had been a recipient of the deceased man’s generosity, residents of Park Hill said.
