P.I. continues for prison officer charged with attempted murder of wife

Prison officer Steven Samuel of Fitz Hughes is expected to appear at the Serious Offences Court today when the preliminary inquiry into an attempted murder charge against him is expected to continue.{{more}}

Samuel was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of his 41-year-old wife of fourteen years, Wilda Samuel in December 2012.

On Wednesday, the court heard testimony from the victim and three members of the local constabulary.

The Chateaubelair district doctor is expected to take the stand today.

Reports are that Wilda Samuel sustained chop wounds to both hands and arms during an altercation with her husband.(DD)
