British man, C’Park woman nabbed at E.T. Joshua Airport with 1,235 grams of cocaine

British national Nathan Smith is currently on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison on drug possession charges.{{more}}

Smith, appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday and was charged, along with Lisa Hooper of Campden Park,for possession of 1,235 grams of cocaine at the E.T. Joshua Airport on July 24, 2013.

They were also slapped with three other cocaine related charges, to which they both pleaded not guilty.

The drug is said to have a street value of $25,000.

Hooper was granted bail in the sum of $30,000, with one surety.

She was ordered not to leave the state without permission from the court and report to the Questelles Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.

The matter is adjourned to September 18 for hearing.

Jomo Thomas represented Hooper in the matter, while Smith was represented by Grant Connell. (KW)
