Efforts are being made to have the police officer who is alleged to have sexually assaulted his daughter, return to the state.{{more}}

“We are working to have him back in the state to assist in completion of this investigation,” head of the Police Public Relations Department, Assistant Superintendent of Police Jonathan Nicholls told SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday afternoon.

Nicholls said there is speculation that the policeman is in the United States.

SEARCHLIGHT exclusively reported in our February 15 publication that during the last week of January, the man’s daughter was admitted to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, complaining of abdominal pains.

Medical tests revealed that she had been infected with gonorrhea.

A reliable source informed SEARCHLIGHT that when the girl was questioned, she told medical personnel that her father was the person who had abused her.

Questions have been asked about how the constable was able to flee the state, when officers under the rank of sergeant must obtain written permission from the Commissioner of Police to present to Immigration officials, in order to leave the state.(KW)
