Bowens on $30,000 bail for drug, gun, ammo possession

Petit Bordel resident Gary Bowens was yesterday granted $30,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty to drug and gun possession charges.{{more}}

Bowens, 38, a mason, appeared at the Serious Offences Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to possession of 13,166 grams of cannabis, possession of a 12-gauge shot gun and six rounds of 12-gauge shot gun ammunition.

He was also charged with cultivation of 30 mature plants of cannabis.

It is alleged that Bowens was in possession of all of the items on February 15 at the Morne Ronde mountains.

He was ordered to surrender his travel documents and report to the Chateaubelair Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.

The matter was adjourned to May 13.(KW)
