At the conclusion of the Preliminary Inquiry at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday, Chief Magistrate Sonya Young found that there was sufficient evidence against the 18 year old to have her committed to the High Court to answer to the charge.

Peters, a former student of the Girls’ High School, is accused of stifling her one-year-old son, McKealti Peters, with a pillow, at Arnos Vale on August 17, 2012.

Eight witnesses were called by the prosecution.

Peters had no legal representation throughout her Preliminary Inquiry.(KW)
