Glen resident charged over hammer killing

Glen resident Reuben Robinson has been charged with the murder of fellow villager Kemmie Hackshaw, 39.{{more}}

Robinson, 51, who was not legally represented, appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, and was charged with unlawfully wounding Cliff Hackshaw, also of the same address.

A police report stated that on Monday, the deceased was involved in an altercation with another man and was struck in the head with a hammer.

He was subsequently taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche informed the court that 11 witnesses will be called in the matter.

The Preliminary Inquiry will get underway on May 15.(KW)
