Bowens, a resident of Calliaqua, was hauled before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 23 and charged with indecent exposure.

She pleaded guilty to the charge.

For her behaviour, Bowens was fined $250 to be paid in one month, or she will have to spend three months in prison.

At about 3:30 p.m. on April 21, Bowens was in the area of Eustace Auto Supplies, when she began pushing persons standing in the area which had been cordoned off by police.

After being spoken to about her behaviour, Bowens took off her clothes and began running around. She was apprehended by police and taken away in a police transport.

The mother of three explained to the court that she was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

“Ah been drinking up de road and ah been high. Ah been tight out,” she explained.(KW)
