A Kingstown Park man was sentenced to 12 years in prison last week at the High Court’s Criminal Assizes.{{more}}

Swann Nichols pleaded guilty to wounding Michael “Tuff” Pierre, of the same address.

On Friday August 14, 2009, Pierre was attacked while playing dominoes at a shop in his village. He had got into an argument with Nichols minutes before the attack.

The incident saw Pierre receiving three chops to his head and face, causing him to lose his left eye.
