$30,000 bail for weed and ammo

Osbourne Quashie will have to report to the Georgetown Police Station midday everyday to avoid any more trouble with the law.{{more}}

Quashie was charged with four offences at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, 2nd March, 2009.

Quashie, a resident of Georgetown, was charged with having in his possession 11,350 grams of cannabis, one unlicensed firearm, serial number 432984, three rounds of 12-gauge ammunition and for the cultivation of 20 cannabis plants. He pleaded not guilty to all the offences.

Chief Magistrate Sonya Young set bail of $30,000 with one surety for the offences, which she stated were very serious matters. Quashie’s case was adjourned until July 14, 2009, for hearing.
