This is after Chief Magistrate Sonya Young had to give a one-hour adjournment to Lawyer Kay Bacchus-Browne, to peruse the case files for the accused she represents.

Roland Gumbs, Kimani Williams, Jawanza Fraser, Orman Hannaway and Marlon Stokes were jointly charged August 2008. Waldron, 28, was killed at Pembroke on August 28, 2008.

Bacchus-Browne said that the Prosecution was ordered by the court to hand over the case files to her by January 30, 2009, but they did not.

After the one-hour adjournment, Bacchus-Browne informed the court that she was not finished with the files and she has to go through them thoroughly in order to adequately represent her clients. (VM)
