Trinidadian caught with cocaine

A Trinidadian national will reappear at the Serious Offences Court today for sentencing on a cocaine charge.{{more}}

Phillip Girod, 27, Mason, of Trinidad and Tobago, pleaded guilty to possession of 3,986 grams of cocaine with intent to supply, on January 6, 2009, at Bequia.

Girod was jointly charged with two Vincentian nationals: James Mulraine, 37, Labourer, of Union Island, and Grafton Farrell, 38, fisherman, of Canouan. They both pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Prosecutor, Inspector Nigel Butcher, informed the court that he would make his decision today, Friday, on how he would be proceeding against Mulraine and Farrell.
