Two stand accused for Richards’ death

The Preliminary Inquiry into the death of Edgerton Richards Jr began on Monday, December 22, 2008, at the Serious Offences Court.{{more}}

The Prosecution presented four witnesses to give evidence into the circumstances surrounding Richards’ death.

Percival and Alban “Indian” Thomas stand accused.

It was reported that on April 19, 2008, Richards, 42 years old, of Brighton, entered Alban Thomas’ shop at Keartons, Barrouallie and an argument ensued between both men. Richards was shot. He was rushed to the Barrouallie clinic where he succumbed to his injuries.

The accused are represented by defence counsel Kay Bacchus- Browne and Ronald Marks.

The matter was adjourned to facilitate other witnesses. (VM)
