Drug Squad Officers nabbed Jason Roberts, of Christ Church, Barbados, at the E.T. Joshua Airport on April 29.

The court heard that at about 1:45pm, the officers went to Arnos Vale with the defendant to inquire about his status in the country. While there, a search conducted on his person turned up a transparent plastic bag in his pocket containing the cannabis.

The court was also told that Bds $1000, US$100 and over EC$600 was found on Roberts during the search. Magistrate Young forfeited that money.

Further investigations revealed that the defendant was scheduled to leave the state since April 23.
