Don’t be fooled

Don’t be fooled by smooth talking conmen!

This is the essence of the plea made by Assistant Superintendent of Police Eckron Lockhart to the general public.

On the heels of a case where Allister Samuel was jailed for deceiving Courts St Vincent Limited into delivering three dell computers to him Lockhart is encouraging persons to be on the alert for deceivers this year.{{more}}

Lockhart told SEARCHLIGHT that persons must be very diligent when conducting transactions.

“Persons will approach you saying that they represent companies but you must be aware of these things,” said the cop.

He urged the public to make sure that some form of valid identification is submitted when dealing with these persons.

“You need to make sure that they provide authentic and “bona fide” proof of identity.”
