Teenager charged with Police stabbing

Lenroy King, a 16-year-old youth of Kingstown Park, now faces two charges of stabbing a policeman after an incident in Layou last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, police Constable Keith Thompson remained in a stable condition at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital up to last Wednesday, February 23. {{more}}

He suffered injuries to the stomach and right arm in an incident in the Central Leeward town of Layou last week Monday February 14. Constable Thompson was reportedly attempting to arrest King following an incident.

King was charged with having 17 grammes of cannabis with intent to supply, wounding Constable Keith Thompson and possession of an offensive weapon.

Meanwhile, King has been slapped with a fourth matter, the unlawful and maliciously wounding Asnel Belle of Paul’s Avenue. Belle was stabbed in an altercation in Kingstown on December 28, last year.
