ASP Walker says thanks

Retired Assistant Superintendent of Police, Vincent Walker has expressed deep gratitude to Almighty God, his wife and colleagues for guidance and protection through his 32 years of service to the Police Force.
Walker’s expression of gratitude came last Friday night as he addressed friends and colleagues at a farewell ceremony.{{more}}
“I thank God for bringing me this far. I used to pray before I go out on missions,” Walker stated.
Walker said “it was not easy” while he worked at district stations because his wife did not see him often.
Commenting on the turnout at the ceremony Walker hinted at the tremendous respect and adoration which his department had for him.
“It is not usual that one gets such a turnout at a send-off… As a leader you have to love people. I always treated my men good,” he said.
Hinting at how much he would miss the department in which he worked for over thirteen years, Walker said “I would definitely have liked to spend a little more time with you all, but when you have to go you have to go.”
Walker thanked the officers for their support and expressed hope that they would all live to retirement.
