KCCU launches stamps

Five postal stamps were unveiled last Saturday, as the Kingstown Co-operative Credit Union celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall.{{more}}

The five stamps, depicting milestones of the Union during its fifty years of existence, include a picture of the founding father Thomas Saunders, who is depicted on a $1.05 stamp.

First President Jerome Burke Senior is depicted on the thirty-cent stamp, while first paid General Manager Joan Millington is featured on a ninety-cent stamp.

The Union’s building, which is located at Granby Street, is featured on the $6 stamp, with a photo of scholarship awardees on the 10-cent stamp.

These stamps are available for immediate purchase, either for mailing purposes or for collection.
