How do you think Skinny Fabulous will perform in the Groovy Soca Monarch Finals tonight and in what position do you think he will place?

“Let me congratulate him on the good work he has been doing over the years, representing SVG, representing our music, our culture. I really think he has a good chance in terms of the sound, in terms of his performance on the stage, his ability. Trinidad is a difficult place and the politics will play its part, as in any country on the ground, but all he has to do is to go there and do his best, represent the music, represent St Vincent, represent the soca industry on a whole. And I think as Vincentians, we should all be proud of what he is doing and not only Skinny, but all the local artistes who are representing the country and representing the culture. But I wish him all the best and that comes from me and the rest of the Soca Dans. Machel is always a hard man to beat; that is in his home court, so Machel and the other guys have the home court advantage, but I think he is recognized enough in Trinidad to really get a lot of support. A lot of Vincentians going down there and a lot of people from the other islands, so he can capitalize on that; but coming up against the Trini icons it is going to be a tough one, so I just hope that he is in the top five.”
