Spiritual Wellness: The journey towards a fulfilling life.

It is that time of year again when we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. However, some see it as an opportunity for painting the house, overeating and drinking rum and tumbling down, but true celebration only comes when we invite Emmanuel into our hearts, lives and homes.{{more}}

We, the Young Leaders of the Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia, want to remind all Vincentians that Christmas is all about sharing, giving and showing love to each other. It is only when we begin to love and care for each other more we can truly live a peaceful and fulfilling life in St. Vincent and The Grenadines.

On Monday, 17th November, 2009, we launched our Back to Church Campaign and we encourage all Vincentians to make it their habit for Christmas and the New Year to get back to church and back to God. In recent times we have heard on the news about people killing each other, the Gaza vs. Gully mentality of our young folks and victims of other malicious crimes. Our nation needs God; we need to get back to Church.

Educational Wellness: The Journey towards a fulfilling life.

We, the Young Leaders of the Emmanuel High School, seek a more fulfilling life. In doing so, we take an active role in pursuing our educational studies at the Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia and becoming meaningfully involved in extracurricula activities in our school.

In the words of the Mighty Sparrow, “Go to school and learn well, otherwise later on in life you would catch real hell”. Also, Vincentian Alex Oliver some years ago sang “Mi boyfriend is Eddie…Education! Lets all take the good advice of these calypsonians and make our lives of more fulfilling, say NO to cocaine, gang related crimes and dropping out of school but, say YES to making your boyfriend and girlfriend EDUCATION!

Physical Wellness: The journey towards a fulfilling life.

This Christmas please let us ensure we take good care of our bodies. Let us strive to be fit and healthy for the New Year. For starters, we should all exercise regularly, maintain a balanced diet and get our regular check ups at the doctor. Also, please make wise choices and avoid the killer on the loose, HIV/AIDS. Abstinence is key to prevention.

Have a blessed Christmas and may your New Year bring fulfillment in every aspect of your life. God Bless!
