Remember the less fortunate this Christmas season

His Excellency Sir Frederick N. Ballantyne, G.C.M.G., MD, Governor-General St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

My fellow Vincentians as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, let us give thanks for the many blessings bestowed on us, not forgetting the most important one that God gave his only Son to save mankind.{{more}}

Amidst the gala celebrations, let us remember those who are not as fortunate as us, those who are ill, who have lost family and friends, those whose lives have been changed by senseless acts of violence and those who besides their best efforts must daily strive against the oppressive yoke of poverty.

Let us all for the New Year unite to fight the several ills which still remain too prevalent in this a Christian society and dedicate our lives to the promotion of peace, love, respect and harmony.

My family and I wish you a most joyous and Happy Christmas and a New Year filled with Hope and Prosperity.
