Rescue De Perishing

WAY ECONOMICS and Budgets are concerned, ah doh have ah clue.

Like ah bush Doctor is to Medicine, I’m like Ahcan-ah-mess to E-conomaches. So ah couple years ago when ah read de statement dat de last Go-venom-mint boasted how SVG’s loans agreement wid Tie-One was likeah “Hook-in-we-Gill,” ah went to de Lord and beg him: “Master Rescue de Perishing!” dis four words, one-line prayer is actually an Ole Gospel Chorus: “ Rescue the Perishing, Care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save!” very Simple but Power-full!

Yuh won’t believe if ah write dat my “Rescue de Perishing” Prayer to de Master was not only heard but was being answered beginning on November 27th 2025, when de fish hook in gill, ULP Go-venommint was kicked-out of office, and left to run ah “one foot-in” (1-14) Aweposition. Secondly when ah heard Prime Mini-star Fry-dey in his first Budget Address disclosed dat St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ 2026 Budget Estimate was EC $1.8 Billion. In addition dey’s our national debt dat now stands at 3.5 billion dollars. In his address, Dr Fry-dey is very confident as to his approach to tackle dis approximately EC $5.3 billion monstrosity. His primary hope to Economic recovery will be based on Faith, Courage, Confidence in ah United SVG building One Nation Together. An Initiative that he calls “From Rescue to Resilience!”

Two beautiful and inspiring words. My friend Google says dat RESCUE is de ability to free from danger or evil and RESILIENCE was de ability to “bounce

back” from difficult experiences. Oh how much dis country needs an Economic RESCUE MISSION, RESCUE Mission from crime and corruption, ah mission to RESCUE our young people from laziness, apathy, gangster-is-him, drugs etc. All these combined wid RESILIENCE dat is about the toughness. Durability, capacity to withstand difficulties and recover quickly Lie-Za say dat RESILIENCE is ah cliche dat politrickans does use pon us in SVG when we have disaster like Storm etc. “We in SVG are ah resilient people wid de Blood of Chatoyer.” But Doc Frydey is on de right track. So far his word has been his bond.

He honoured his 60 day promise if elected. So to are his promises to put much needed money in de workers pocket, dat interestingly goes right back into de Treasury. Excellent attempt in keeping de Economy circulating. De Nah-shunall De-Bait is in full swing.

Dee young Parliamentarians all doing ah tremendously good JOB. And wid dat is gone ah gone again.

One Love Bassy.
