Are you washed?

IT WAS ONLY ah matter ah time before the dreaded and deaded CoronaVirus dat started in China, thousands ah mile from these parts, would ah land by plane safely in SVG.

What is disturbing is when people here in SVG show serious concerns about de facts ah de CoronaVirus, asking pertinent questions of our leadership, about dis country’s preparedness foh ah Pandemic, our PM almost succeeded in meking “Nay Sayers” out at ah all ah we, telling us: “Doh Panic!” Funny though, “Doh Panic” was de same remark PM Cato made in 1979 when de Volcano erupted, he was contacted by phone after midnight, given de shocking news, den he was told dey were going to put him live on Radio 705, to appeal to de Nay-shun to be calm.

And de only thing dat came to poor ole Cato’s lips was: “Doh Panic,” and today is like “Doh Panic” is ah Vincy PM’s cliché in pending disaster.

Is de same non-sense going on wid US president Done-All Trump. Weeks ago when news of de CoronaVirus broke, Trump brushed it aside and callously said: “it will soon go away, just like ah regular Flu.” He further referred to any criticism of his foolish attitude, and de sound findings of top Scientists as “Hoax,” he even called on dem to stand down. Now de “Sh..Two-too” hit de fan, Trump is now calling foh “Together Now!”

Sounds familiar doesn’t it?

We really in ah sad state in SVG when it comes to decision-making. Doh mind way de world say or do, listen to way PM Gone-soft say. Other Carry-beyond countries, foh fear ah possible spreading ah de Virus, turning back Tourist Boats dat suppose to be bringing thousand ah much needed US$ to these shores, but every morning when ah look at de Wharf ah still seeing ah different Tourist Boat. Mek it worse, ah meeting nuff Tourists all over town, so ah con-sold meself by saying what de PM says: . “Doh Panic,” We were literally muzzled by ah reminder in a Press Con-friends, dat dey’s ah penalty in Law for people spreading “False Rumours!”

In these times, ah try not to panic, instead ah search foh my solutions in de Bible, way de inspired word is documented. Ah love to see how Moses came thru.

Moses thru de Power of de Holy God, delivered ah lot ah Plagues pon Pharaoh and de people, beginning wid de Plague of Blood! Dah was when Moses told Aaron to point his Rod towards de Nile River, Aaron did, and de water turn Red like Blood. Only last week ah say way de water in ah stream is Jah-mek-her turn Red.

But de other Plagues Moses inflicted include: Frog! Lice!

Flies! Pestilence! Boils! Hail!

Locusts! And Darkness, which is de Plague dat SVG undergoing right now. But de Final Plague, de CoronaVirus of yester-year, de one dat came thru foh de Children of Israel was de “Death of de First Born!”

Interestingly, de first Plague was about River Water turn Blood, de last was about Blood too, when de children washed dey door posts with de Blood of ah first born animal.

Plagues and Pestilences, and Viruses are washed away by Blood, not ordinary animal Blood, but de Blood of Jesus. And I am reminded of an Ole Sunday School Song dat says: “Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb? Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb? Are you washed in the blood? In the soul-cleansing blood of the lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?”

Dey are some very simple instructions how to keep de Corona-Virus at bay, one of which is Washing of hands with soap and Water.

Please try and obey these instructions. But if yuh being Washed by de Blood of Jesus, “Doh Panic!” No need to!.

And wid dat is gone ah gone again.
