Kathy Sue’s Pastor
Pastor Adolphus Issacs (second from left) with his new bride (second from right) and other members of the bridal party.
Bassy - Love Vine
June 22, 2018

Kathy Sue’s Pastor

Ah believe is because Pastor Adolphus Isacs doh fancy Facebook and dem things, why soon after his wedding party was over, photos of him and his new bride were all over de place. He might not have been aware, but his parishioners were beginning to feel foh him, how he kept on mourning de loss of his first wife foh many years, and not moving on. But in his own acceptance speech last Sat-dey evening, he was scoping de scene and taking his time. He recaptured dah special moment, ‘de turning point in his life’, when and how he met his new bride on “de Road to Damascus oops. Majorca!” He was doing his regular early morning walk, when he beheld dis beautiful young lady, heading down from her morning routine. According to Pastor, he convinced her that it was still early and invited her to accompany him back up de mountain. His exact words were: “She did, and the rest is now his-story!”

Whatever dat first conversation was about, de young lady, either by invitation or her own curiosity, wanted to see and hear more from de Pulpit. So soon aftyer dah following Sunday morning, ah strange and beautiful young lady quietly slipped into Mespo Gospel Hall Assembly, took a seat next to de side door, and by de time de service ended, she had slipped away. Dat first Sunday turned into just about every Sunday and dat seat became her permanent spot. Well, after Exchanging Vows last Sat-dey, she will now take her rightful place up front and dey’ll be no slipping out by de side door!!

It was ah Wedding fit for ah Pastor. Three Pastors officiated: Leonard Charles, Christopher Dennie and Napolean Black out of Jah-mek-her. Church full and running over. Guests from all walks of life, came from all parts ah de region and further apart, especially to share De Love and to Fellowship and Feast wid de Pastor and his new Bride. It was indeed ah Feast, lots to eat (big-up chef, Nicole Browne); de drinks flowed, including drinks foh de stomach’s sake. Lie-Za was not present at de wedding, but she was telling me she love de First Dance, and how she never knew her Pastor could ah groove so. De Love Vine wishes to endorse dis marriage with Endless Love and God’s Blessings. Nuff said!

BONE-US POINTS FOH COMMISSIONER JOHN

Ah want to recommend two bone-us points foh Commissioner Colin John on his PRO Score Sheet. He was at de Isaacs’ wedding along wid his predecessor Charles, mixing and mingling well, he even toasted de newly-weds on de behalf of his Organ-I-say-shun. And Lie-Za say dat on Sunday afternoon, he was in Redemption Sharpes, one of the challenging Communities where crime is concerned, battling wid de youths there, in ah friendly game of Soccer. Good ‘PR wuk’ Bro John, now send yuh men and women from de RRU and de SSU on similar missions in Soccer, Cricket, Volley Ball, Basket Ball and Netball.

SHAME ON YOU CIBC

Lie-Za crying shame how we want to assassinate de SRI Lanka cricket captain foh Bawl Tampering in de Test Match in Barbados, but in de same breath, foh our upcoming CPL tournament, we are including disgraced Australian cricketer, David Warner who in March dis year, was banned from International and Domestic Cricket foh one year foh de same Bawl Tampering. Subsequent to his ban, his player contract wid de Indian Professional League was terminated by de Board of Control for Cricket in India. But Warner will be part of de St Lucia Stars in de CPL dis year. Wha’ we in de West Indies trying to prove? Dah we lack de scruples to follow good example, Shame on you WICBC. And wid dat is gone ah gone again.

One Love Bassy
