Five more shopping days to go

“Well, well, well” said de ole man, “ way nah happen in years will happen Wednesday”. Dah’s when we will vote “Yes” or “No” to ah Constitution dat took six years to compile, six years ah discussion, consultation and debate and interestingly, within de last three months when de discussion should ah bin aimed at ironing out and trimming de document to meet de wishes ah de people, we are treated as though de exercise is just ah formality to let us know what de Proposed Constitutional is all about.{{more}} How we already spend six years getting dis document together, dis is not de time to mek changes and get it right. Now it took de children ah Israel 40 years to cross ah forty day journey getting it together in de wilderness before dey got it right. But we are told how dey’s nothing wrong wid de Doc-yu-mint, it is better dan de one we had, in fact it is de best of its kind around; it cannot and will not be altered at dis stage. But Wednesday is de day when de power ah d people could over-rule de power ah par-liar-mint .

AH SMELL AH JAIL

Lie-Za would have attended ah lot ah de bigger meetings on both side ah dis Riff-around dem, and from what she saying, de battle between both sides, de” Vote Yes” and de “Vote No” calm-pain is split down de middle just like how de country is pull-it-tek-all-he divided down de middle, wid any edge going to de “Vote No” team. But dey’s still five days to go and de “Vote No” calm-pain seems to be pulling out ah new set ah trump cards, very disturbing information. De Accountant General’s letter to de Cabinet Secretary (Morgan) suggests serious negligence and irresponsibility by dat officer in exercising control of de four million Special Warrant money dat de PM requested to fund de “Vote Yes” calm-pain. Morgan has since re-sign or re-tyre to run as ah ULP candidate.

Five weeks ago when ah commented on dat four million dollars tax payers money, ah predicted dat dey will be an enquiry at de end of it all. Ah will predict further dat after de enquiry, people will end up at Bel-eye, way dey will spend ah long vacation in solitary confinement wid Supt Rodriguez. Mark my word!

And den dey’s de story dat Arm-In broke about de US million dollars dat was deposited at de NCB dat de bank instructed de depositor to come withdraw it immediately. Fool ah talk but nah fool ah listen, if dat was foh NDP or ah Drug man, dah matter would ah bin handed over to de CID. If ah was brave like Matthew Thomas ah would ah say who ah count de US million dollars went to, who de Bank called to tek it out; and ah might ah even venture to say which regional bank was contacted to rule dat de money be deposited, but me ain’t brave like Matthew. All ah would say is dat “Power corrupts” dis Riff-around dem is life and debt to some ah we.

WHAT HEALING

Ah don’t think any other Guv-ah-mint in de region has called foh more “Day ah Prey” and “Day ah Heel-in” dan de ULP. When is not de Christian Council turn to prey, is de Evangelical or de Pentecostal; one time it was all ah dem Cat-lic, Anglican, Met-dis de spiritual Baptiste, de whole Christian community! But is like de more we pray de more Satan prey, is like ah Devil in control and no Prayers could set us free! What is amusing is only when de Prime Minister find his back-side jam-up against de wall, he does remember God and call foh Prayers. So Sun-dey after de Riff-around-dem over, de Prime Minister is calling foh ah “Day ah Heel-in”! He could never be serious, and ley we nah fool we-self by all ah dis blarney and nice talk about Prayers and Healing foh dis land. Heel-in of ah nation is not putting foot in shoes, it begins from de Head, starting wid de Prime Minister. So Ralph will first have to mek it right, reconcile and seek Healing wid all de people wid whom he got serious differences, his so-called Ralph Hate-as, people like Dug-he De-freitas, Elwardo Lynch, Junior Bacchus, Matthew Thomas, Ordan Graham, Daniel Cummings, Leacock, Keith Joseph and many more. Yuh can’t have Healing of ah land way ah Prime Minister sets himself above criticize-him, he alone is allowed to insult citizens in de-rag-ah-tree, humiliating language, referring to people as snatty-nose, delinquent girl, idiot-boy, dutty-dog, chattering nabob, but if any one dare to say anything uncomplimentary about him, he drags dem before de Courts, and who ain’t get charge foh treason get to pay ah Lie-bill. Nah worry, One ah d’s days all unfair games will be played over.

Doc Adams did tell me ah story wid ah smart Beer-Jon trafficker who uses to wait till de boat-hatch full to put his load on deck,. When de boat reach port he gets to unload first and finish selling early. But de sea was ruff and de captain was contemplated dumping de cargo on deck over board. Bage realized dat his load was going overboard first, so he started to pray to God foh Healing: “ Lord if Yoh calm de weather and ah save me load, ah will mek ah candle as big as de boat mast and light it in Yoh honour. Ah Vincy eaves-dropping, challenged him and said: “ Bage man, yuh know when de weather over yuh ain’t got God to study and furthermore, how yuh going mek ah candle as tall as de boat-mast?” Bage turn to him and said : “ Vincy mar, gey mah ah chance nah man, ah only trying to fool God”! Ah wonder if Doc Adams ever told de PM dah Beer-Jon story. And wid dat, is gone ah gone again.
