Police, Ruddy’s Electrical to contest NL cricket final

RSVG Police and Ruddy’s Electrical, will contest this Sunday’s final of the Jules Anthony VINLEC North Leeward Sports Association’s 20/20 cricket competition from 1:30 p.m. at the Cumberland Playing Field.

Defending champions Police on Saturday, beat Big League of Rose Bank by 95 runs.

Police scored 174 for 5 from their 20 overs. Benniton Stapleton sscored 62 and Rickford Walker, 35.

Bowling for Big League, Shangi John took 2 for 14.

Big League in reply, 79 all out from 13.3 overs. Ozico Williams scored 26.

Kemron Strough was the pick of Police’s bowling, taking 4 for 14.

And, on Sunday, Ruddy’s Electrical ousted Robertson’s Surveying Rose Hall Future Legends by six wickets.

Future Legends posted an imposing 229 for 2 from their 20 overs. Dean Browne scored 131 and Miles Bascombe, 63 not out.

Ruddy’s Electrical responded with 229 for 4 from 19.4 overs. Hyron Shallow scored 65, Deron Graves, 55 and Donwell Hector, 54 not out.

Before Sunday’s male finals, Ball Burners and United Survivors will engage each other in the final of the tri-series, which is set to bowl off at 9:30 a.m.
